Man sets fire to Romanian woman in Vienna street |

A 35-year-old Romanian woman was hospitalized in Vienna with severe burns after she was splashed with a flammable substance and then set on fire by a man with whom she had a dispute on Saturday night going into Sunday, Realitatea.net reports.
According to Austrian TV station ORT, the man is Romanian as well. The incident happened at about 3 a.m., in front of the 'Fantastik' dance hall on Laxenburger Hall. After the attack, the assailant took off on a BMW with Romanian license plates.
The woman, identified as Florentina M, is currently in induced coma, having severe burns especially on her hands and upper part of her body. Circumstances surrounding the attack are not yet clear, although police opened an investigation.
Preliminary inquiries indicate that the man who set fire to the woman is known as 'Cretu.' Austrian police called on any possible witnesses to provide information that might prove useful in the investigation and have made available a special phone number for this purpose.
