The last two fixtures of League I, leg 24 ended on Monday evening with a narrow victory of the guest teams: FC Timisoara vs FC Vaslui, 0-1, and FC Brasov vs CFR Cluj, 0-1. The Timisoara victory propelled FC Vaslui on the second position in the standings, while CFR strengthened its leader position, but the Brasov game and the absence of no less than five major players from the host team made Steaua and Dinamo officials question the match's correctness.
"What did I think of FC Brasov, Steaua's rival next leg? Well, this wasn't the FC Brasov I used to know," Steaua president Valeriu Argaseala said.
