The first Dacia SUV will be delivered to Romanian dealers on April 15, but it can be ordered starting from March 2, in any of the 100 Dacia showrooms.

Acquisition prices vary between 10,500 and 15,600 Euro, based on version. The car is available in three equipment versions: Duster, Ambiance si Laureate. For Laureate, the price for a 4x4 version reaches 15,600 Euro.

The SUV is manufactured at the Mioveni factory (Arges county) and will be gradually sold (in 4x2 and 4x4 versions) in Europe, Turkey, Africa and the Middle East, starting from the end of March 2010.

"Duster's target public is 50% companies. The car is also for those loyal to the brand, who are looking for a vehicle with a facility upgrade," Dacia commercial director Fabrice Cambolive said at the Gewneva showroom. The Dacia official added that so far, several thousands of customers are on a waiting list for a Duster.

Cambolive also said Duster will join the national car renewal program, the 'Junk Car.'

President Traian Basescu will become the happy owner of the first SUV Dacia Duster, which will be found at authorized dealers as of April 15, according to Automobile Dacia representatives. Last May, Basescu voiced appreciation for the new model, when he got inside and said he would like to drive an SUV Dacia.
