The meteorologists have issued a new yellow code warning for wind and snow falls in  Banat, Oltenia, Muntenia, Dobrogea and the south of Moldova, between 6 February, 12 a.m. and 8 February 9.00 a.m. According to the meteorologists, the wind will reach a speed of 75 to 80 kilometers/h and there will be heavy snow falls. There will also be snow falls in Southern Carpathians where the wind blows will exceed100 kilometers/h.

“Saturday night, almost all the regions of the country will be affected by snow falls. The snow will keep falling on Sunday in the south and south- eastern regions. The weather will slowly get colder and the temperatures will drop by 3 or 4 degrees under the usual temperatures for February. Starting next Wednesday the weather will begin to improve both in terms of precipitation and temperatures.” says meteorologist Viorica Dima.

The weather will be mostly cloudy.  The snow will fall over extended areas in the south and west of the country and locally in the other regions. The minimum temperatures will range between -11 and -2 degrees, lower in the east of Transylvania. The maximum temperatures will stand between -5 and 5 degrees.

In the south and south- west of the country there will be snow falls with blizzard and the wind will reach a speed of 75 - 80 kilometers/h. There will be heavier snow falls in the eastern half of Muntenia, in the south of Moldova and in Dobrogea through the night. The snow will fall locally in the rest of the territory and the wind will blow from slightly to moderate. The maximum temperatures will range between -6 and 4 degrees. The minimum temperatures will range in general between -12 and -2 degrees.
