Agerpres - There are nearly 1.2 million unskilled workers in Romania, i.e. they live on the minimum salary, president of Cartel Alfa trade unions Bogdan Hossu said on Thursday.

'Romania is seeing an anomaly. There are currently some 1.2 million unskilled personnel who are paid the minimum salary in the economy. That is why we hope we'll be able to adjust the development of the minimum salary', Hossu said.

He stressed the employers have the obligation to pay the 705 lei minimum salary set for 2010.
